We're tracking down a strong Financial Controller to oversee all Finance and Accounting operations within the organization, including managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial controls. Our candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information and driving financial performance through data analysis and strategic planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Builds Great Teams, coaching and developing Finance team members and broadening the fundamental understanding of Finance/Accounting across the organization

- Develops processes to ensure compliance with Accounting policies and procedures

- Lead the ERP implementation (M1) from the Finance perspective

- Provide direct support to Plant Management team in a variety of Finance, Accounting, and Operational areas

- Review average vs actual costs for inaccuracies

- Prepare Cashflow reports and projections

- Work as a representative of the Company with external authorities (eg. banks, CRA)

- Managing processes for Cash Flow, Financial Forecasting, Cost Accounting, Budgets, and Consolidation and Reporting

- Directing and overseeing all aspects of the Financial, Controls, and Accounting functions

- Help drive Operational strategy to reduce complexity

- Key business partner across all functions, providing financial and data-driven guidance to assess areas for improvement and to drive profitability

- Leads monthly, quarterly and annual Forecasting and Budgeting Cycles, identifies opportunities & risks, and actively supports Operational and Sourcing Planning to achieve results

- Supports Executive Leadership in analyzing data and to support the development and improvement strategies

REQUIREMENTS

- BA in Business, Accounting, or Finance

- CPA (CA, CMA, CGA) designation

- Minimum 7+ years of relevant Financial experience

- Prior Manufacturing experience is ideal

- Job shop or project-based Manufacturing experience

- Advanced skill in MS Excel and Accounting software packages

- In-depth understanding of Canadian GAAP

- Experience implementing ERP systems, Eci M1 an asset
